Puncture Proof
BY BRIAN WALTERS     A careful inspection of the tyre on the company's stand will reveal the barely perceptible marks where Phil has wielded his hammer and spike; yet within less than half a revolution of the wheel after the spike is removed, the hole is very firmly sealed. In fact Tire Seal works best when the vehicle is in motion, also proving to eliminate slow leaks while increasing tyre life by some 20%.
The Tire Seal consists of a number of elements that combine and interact to form a dense liquid that is introduced into the tyre through the air valve, and once thus injected, the product will seal punctures instantaneously wile the vehicle is in motion. Field tests involving the use of 5 mm to 30 mm spikes and direct rifle fire into the tyres, as well as exploding grenades nearby, have demonstrated that vehicles could be driven off-road over 100 miles with an air loss of less than 5%.
Every day since the Show opened, Phil Gary has been hammering large holes into military-standard rubber tyre and astonishing visitors by demonstrating an automatic and immediate repair. A combat team of Spanish APCs operating in Bosnia recently would doubtless have preferred to enjoy the protection of the new USA Safety Armor Tire Seal, rather than suffer the indignity of becoming immobile as their tyres were shot up.
Developed in the USA by Joe Reed, a former NASA scientist the new Tire Seal is now being used in Bosnia with an IFOR unit which has proved that wheeled vehicles can be safely driven over spikes with their mobility undiminished. The new Tire Seal is not merely a "get you home safely' survival aid, but a solution which renders tyres puncture proof.
